A riparian coastal area is a critical, dynamic transitional zone where terrestrial land ecosystems meet freshwater systems (rivers, creeks, wetlands) just before they discharge into the ocean. These areas act as "living green bridges" and vital buffers, protecting coastal estuaries, mangroves, and marine environments.
